Chocolate Ganache Cake
This is my very favorite chocolate, chocolate cake! It is so rich, if you are a
chocolate lover like me, you will flip for it. And it is so easy to make. I also like
to make it into wonderful cupcakes. Enjoy.

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
16 oz can chocolate syrup
1 cup flour
Pre-heat oven to 325. Grease and flour an 8" springform pan. Line bottom with
parchment paper.
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Mix in
chocolate syrup and vanilla. Add flour and stir until just combined.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Bake until just set in middle. DO NOT OVER BAKE....
You will be tempted to bake longer, but bake until just set in middle.
GANACHE
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 0z semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon instant coffee (optional)
Over medium heat, combine ingredients until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
Immediately poor over cooled cake. Ganache will harden as it cools. Do Not put cake in
fridge.
This cake only makes one layer, but it will serve many. It is so rich that a small slice is
all you need. It may not be all you want though!
